As in all things in the Ireland / England story, the Gallagher story in relation to England has been a mixed bag. From the conquests and ejection from their homeland by the English in the 16th and 17th centuries, the story has involved much hardship. However England has become home to countless thousands of Gallaghers over the years, who have found a living in its many corners. Many served in its military forces and many died doing so, often far from these islands. Today there are around 30,000 with the Gallagher surnames.

We want to commemorate and celebrate all the Gallaghers with English connections. We want your and your familiy's stories. Please forward to postmaster@gallagherclan.org
